On February 24, 1999; the Dominion of Melchizedek submitted to the Secretary General of the United Nations a Notice of Accession to a collection of Conventions from the International Maritime Organization or IMO including the following:
International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLSA), 1960 and 1974.
International Convention on Land Lines (LL), 1966
Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (IMMARSAT), 1976
International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil (OILPOL), 1954
International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage (CLC), 1969
International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships (TONNAGE), 1969

INQUIRIES REGARDING VISA FOR ENTRY TO MALAYSIA AND OTHER MATTERS FOR PASSPORT HOLDERS OF DOMINION OF MELCHIZEDEK
With honor I refer to your letter dated February 17, 1998.
2. The answers to the questions submitted are as follows:-
(i) Dominion of Melchizedek passport holders are not subject to a visa for social or business visits not exceeding 1 month.
(ii) Citizens of the country concerned can pursue studies in Malaysia subject to the conditions set by the Immigration Department.

Between January 14-16, 1998 the APPU conducted its 62 Council Meeting in Taipei, Republic of China. At that Meeting an endorsement for observer status was summitted on behalf of the Government of the Dominion of Melchizedek.
